Something Happened
Today I woke up happy
Today I woke up glad
But something happened
And painted me bad
Now I have an invisible scar
Visible to none but myself
Visible to only the invisible
My scar is huge
My scar is large
My scar is big
Even the blind see
But men have been blinded
Beyond repair
They see it not
Something happened
And wounded me deep
Something happened
And shut up my mouth
Something happened
And made my heart bleed
Something happened
And now I must cry
Till I can no more
So till I forget
I’ll always remember;
